My Prediction for UFC 117 scheduled Co-Main Event: Jon Fitch vs Thiago “PITBULL” Alves According to fightmagazine.com’s World WW rankings: Fitch (22-3-(1)) is ranked #6, while Alves (16-6) is ranked #3. This will be a rematch after a match 4 yrs ago when Fitch earned a Rnd 2 TKO WIN over Alves. This rematch was supposed to take place @ UFC 111 as the Co-Main event, when Alves failed a brain scan test with an irregularity which he had dealt with soon after with a procedure. Fitch is coming off a 4 fight UNANIMOUS DECISION WIN streak with a WIN over Ben Saunders @ UFC 111 after a loss to Champ GSP @ UFC 87. Alves is coming off a UNANIMOUS DECISION LOSS to Champ GSP @ UFC 100. There has been no guarentee that this is a #1 contendership bout. Though there are rumors that the WINNER of this bout may face the WINNER of Hardy vs Condit.
